As a general rule, the more elaborate the saree's border and pallu work, the more a piece with real presence - a temple-style necklace set or a statement jhumka - holds its own against it, rather than getting lost in the detail. Plain or lightly-worked sarees give more room for colour, so Meenakari's enamelled tones tend to stand out beautifully there. A well-chosen necklace set with matching earrings is usually enough on its own; sarees rarely need more than one statement piece to complete the look.
